Vulture skull hand painted on a home made clear resin frame, containing golden glitter. A one of a kind brooch with gilded filigree and chains hanging. Fastens with a safety pin on the back. The frame's shape is somewhat irregular from the side, as you can see in the last picture.
Artwork is protected by a layer of resin and is waterproof. It's painted after a real skull display from the Grant Museum of Zoology in London (which is free and I absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting :) ).
The brooch is quite light, H: 4.7cm/1.9in (without the filigree) , W: 6.3cm/2.5in, artwork is H: 2.4cm/0.9in , W: 3.8cm/1.3in.

My artwork is usually glued to a frame and covered in glass or resin so it is waterproof. That being said, I have quite a few pieces made with lace or fabrics and I wouldn't recommend getting them very wet. They should be stored in a cool dry place, so please keep away from damp areas.
If a fabric gets dirty I would recommend using dry cleaning if possible, or a wet soapy cloth to remove stains.
Please avoid scratching glass/resin that protects the artwork, so please don't store right next to anything with sharp corners/edges.
Each painted piece is one of a kind, painted by hand, and although I use reference images for the anatomy of animals, skulls, etc., the overall image and design is from my imagination.
Each miniature can take anywhere between 1 to 3 hours to complete, plus the assembly, so many pieces are rather time consuming to create.
Also, I think I should mention that I work with a lot of gold leaf, which is very thin and fragile and tiny bits of it tend to fly everywhere when broken down. As result, some of my jewelry may have minuscule specs of gold leaf stuck on them.
